History
Drag Racing started in 2003 for Jayne Kay, when Gary Kay (dad) built her first dragster- Junior dragster Draggin' it Out JS23- which was the fastest junior stock in Europe and still holds the record today. After the first few runs in her Junior she then became hooked to the sport.
In the 2005 season, she earned one trophy at the national finals at Santa Pod Raceway taking the win against Holly Mitchell, which was the first all-girls-final.
Later that year came "the best christmas present ever!", the second dragster- Junior modified advanced- imported from America in 2005: HYPERACTIVE JMa16, JMa5, JMa11 and finished JMa9 in the 2008 season.
The car was also up for "best looking car" in 2006 http://www.eurodragster.com/news/2006sprcawards/default.asp.
She also earned a total of three trophies, in 2006 the closest to dial in at shakespeare county raceway. In 2007 she was awarded the ultimate power championship runner-up. In 2008 her last trophy in junior dragster was for winning the event at Santa Pod Raceway's Summer Nationals.
Now, yet again she has "the best christmas present ever!"- Dan Larsens Methanol Funny Car, or known as BOXTER. Which was collected from Denmark in February. They're now having the 2009 season off, preparing the car (and driver) to race in Super Pro 2010!
